75 Years of
Gamma Lambda
The Gamma Lambda Chapter of Delta Zeta at San Jose State University was founded in 1948. We are one of the oldest sororities on campus, and the oldest active Delta Zeta chapter in California. We celebrated our 75th anniversary at SJSU in 2023.
Delta Zeta is the largest international sorority in the world, and Delta Zeta members have the privilege of traveling the country meeting new sisters and visiting our National Headquarters. Our chapter has several traditions that we celebrate yearly.

Our sisterhood is the glue that holds our chapter together. Delta Zeta is our home away from home, and a way to make a large school feel small.
Our chapter has many sisterhood activities throughout the year, including our two highlights: sisterhood reteat, and our new member dance.
